Zoo-Keepers Club invites middle schoolers to the farm to learn about and participate in animal care. Zoo-Keepers meet on Tuesdays each week from June through October. Club members have the opportunity to share their learning with visitors who come to the farm and act as moderators for visitor/farm animal interactions.
Henry Wuensche, former Berlin Zoo animal keeper, leads the Zoo-Keepers club and manages the ever-growing Menagerie at Homestead Organics Farm. In 2019, participants will learn about and work with potbellied pigs and piglets, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and the farm peacock (named Kevin).
